We're on the lookout for two video editors to join our team!

Reel Film is an award-winning video and animation production company, currently in the process of recruiting two highly skilled and creative video editors to join our growing team on a permanent basis and to work across over 200 clients from global brands to SMEs. You should look at editing as a real challenge to bring footage captured to life and be comfortable being involved in the process from initial ideas through the final delivery.

You will have an expert understanding and knowledge across video editing, sound and be fluent in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. An ability to use Adobe After Effects to create motion graphics assets is a plus but not essential. An understanding of colour correction/grading is essential using built in NLE plug-ins or third-party software such as DaVinci Resolve is critical.

You will be responsible for the output of edits that you work on – ensuring they are to our standards - quality control is something you should be comfortable with and have a keen eye for.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be working as part of the creative team and a skill/familiarity at working with storyboards and shooting scripts is essential as well as working with client briefs.

Teamwork is a key part of the job and close collaboration and good communication with the production team, mainly your Producer, is critical to the success of your work, however, you should also be comfortable working with other members of a production team.

The ability to hit deadlines and keep edits within the required briefs in regard to timescales and budgets is important. You should be comfortable ingesting and organising footage to our processes and systems

You will be a highly motivated individual who is dedicated to your work, strives for quality in everything you do and has fun while doing it!

We’re an ambitious company with plans for continued team growth in doubling the size over the next 12 months, developing our work across different sectors and expanding our UK operation. Off the back of our “Highly Commended” recognition by Amazon as a creative business, we’re looking to take our production and creativity to the next level as we develop our exciting plans in line with our company culture and values.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of video editing experience in a busy studio, ideally gained within film and television, though we will consider applicants from other creative industries if appropriate. This is not an entry-level role.

In return we offer:

  • Competitive salary of £26, 000 - £30,000, dependent on skills and experience.
  • 33 days holiday per annum including bank holidays
