Reel Film is an award-winning video and animation production company, currently in the process of recruiting an organised, driven and experienced Production Manager to join the team. You’ll be managing our diverse client base across multiple industries in production and leading the production team on a daily basis.

You’ll be working on video and animation projects as well as any other emerging technologies that we use in the world of production. You will be able to intercept, interpret and share important information effectively. You will be the go-to person for the production team and suppliers, as well as in some cases, the clients, on all projects. Along with your Producers, you will be project managing our client's projects, where you will create and execute a project plan to budget and deadline whilst co-ordinating both internally and externally.

This position reports to the Managing Director.

The Role:

  • Run the production team across all video and animation projects, ensuring that content is delivered creatively, on time, on budget and to our high production standards with excellent customer service

  • Keep on top of schedules and budgets, at all times, throughout the production process

  • Expert knowledge of a film and animation production process from initial concept through to final delivery of a project

  • Delegate tasks to different members of the production team throughout the process while giving support where needed and getting the best out of everyone

  • Be the first port of call when leading the production team through any problems or issues, help them solve the issues and empower them to work with you on the solution

  • Be known among clients, taking the time to understand their brief and requirements while ensuring the production team are fully aware of the aims and objectives of the project, something you keep on top of with the client account manager through the process

  • Empowering and directing the production teams creativity on a project as an integral part of our creative sessions

  • Ensure our current workflows and production operations are followed with clear communication throughout across the team both internally and externally

  • Work on improving our production systems and structures to enable growth within the department through our continuous improvement drive

  • Run our weekly and daily production meetings and catch-ups

  • Involved with the production teams learning and development

  • Fill out and deliver monthly production reports to the Managing Director

  • Be involved with the recruitment of future production personnel

  • Have fun 😊


  • Good written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally

  • Amazing project management skills and expert knowledge of the production process

  • An initiative and keenness to get the job done to the very highest standards

  • Comfortable with decision making and delegation

  • Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple productions at one time

  • A great attitude to working with long and short deadlines

  • An understanding of business needs and a clients project aims and objectives in the creative sector

  • Flexibility and approachability when working both internally and externally

  • Minimum two years of production management experience in the same or similar role

  • A full, clean UK driving license
