What to film at a live event

We film multiple events across Europe for the likes of aspire-igen, The Electrical Industries Charity, Takeda and many more. Event videos are a great way to retrospectively showcase all the amazing things that happened, which can be used for promotion of the day and also for the following years event if it’s an annual thing.

Problem is, that’s about it really. It’s a nice memento but does anyone really care? That’s why you should use your event as an opportunity, a chance to film more content when you have everyone in one place which you can use in addition to your event video. It’s about getting the most value from your filming crew at your event.

That’s why we’ve come up with our list, the top three things to film at your event!

It’s a no brainer really. You have your customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues at your event – why not get them to shout about you! It’s nice and easy, they only need taking aside for 15 minutes and we can capture not only the content needed for the event video but also extra content to be used in your marketing!

This content is also more re-useable. Not like an event video which typically last 12 months.

Usage of video on social media is rising all the time so why not take the opportunity to film some at your event. Maybe you have a product on show, a service to shout about or an interactive exhibition. While your video production company are on site they may as well film this stuff creatively and deliver multiple 20-30 second clips for use on social media.

You’re then not only showing the great things you do but you’re also bringing everything you showed off in person to the people of social media! These short engaging clips are easily consumed by users and highly watchable.

This one can be a little uncomfortable for some but it’s a great way to improve your businesses systems and operations by capturing some internal video. Hear from your customers about what you do really well but also what you could maybe improve upon. These people are the best feedback you could receive – so take the opportunity and get something on camera.
